Life and death in a NY prison during Covid

Life and death in a New York prison during Covid-19.
As a second wave of Covid-19 cases surges behind bars, incarcerated people remain unprotected and afraid. Dino Caroselli, a 64-year-old prisoner at Sing Sing Correctional Facility in New York spoke over the phone with Gautama Mehta, journalist from Codastory. He said hardly any additional precautions have been taken to prevent a second wave of infections since the spring. Today, he and other inmates still can’t purchase masks or receive them from family members. Social distancing remains nearly impossible inside facilities and correctional staff continue to ignore guidances on wearing masks.
Katia Patin, wrote the script and made the editing.
I worked on the visual part for this animation: storyboard in Procreate and the illustrations and animation directly in After Effects.
